You have probably heard that the functioning of the Law of Attraction can be explained scientifically, and the science that’s being mentioned is quantum physics. Still, there aren’t many explanations for what exactly quantum physics and quantum mechanics have to do with manifesting, so we’ll try to explain it here as simply as possible – but prepare yourself, it’s still going to be a difficult read.
Quantum Physics Basics
Quantum physics deals with the tiniest particles of energy called quanta (that’s plural of quantum – Latin). You know that the Law of Attraction works thanks to vibration and alignment of energy, so that makes the first common point between the two.
At the subatomic level, the rules of physics that we were taught in school (co called Newtonian physics) don’t apply – there’s a whole different set of phenomena going on there, and we need to explore it a bit before moving forward.
One of the foundations of quantum physics is the famous “Double Slit Experiment” – it’s very well explained in this video:
In short – the particles behave differently when they are being observed.
Interesting to say the least 🙂 But that’s not it.
More Science: Quantum Entanglement
Now that we have covered the basics, we can introduce you to the concept of quantum entanglement which describes the relationship between two bodies that interact or entangle with each other. Once they do, it becomes impossible to describe one object without considering the other object – both are connected or bonded together.
If you now separate these objects by various distances – 2 feet or across the globe, it doesn’t matter – when one object is interacted upon, a correlating action occurs simultaneously with the other object. Now, remember how everything in the Universe came to exist, the Big Bang theory? Since everything in the Universe was created from this big bang, then everything is entangled with each other.
And how dos that apply to the Law of Attraction? Simply – everything in the Universe is connected with each other, and if we influence one thing, we can influence another. What we can fully influence is the thoughts we have. Using our thoughts we create an interaction with those things that we have put thought into to interact with us – so we can attract to us the people, circumstances, objects that we want to influence.
Having all this in mind, we can now better understand how manifestation works: it’s our unique and personal perception of reality that creates our reality, we draw into ourselves that which we perceive as real, because that’s the most powerful way to influence our thoughts – by making our mind believe it’s real.
As if this wasn’t complicated enough 🙂 there’s really only one more concept to discuss: if you saw the video, you may have heard that Dr. Quantum (don’t worry, there’s an actual quantum physicist behind the cartoon character, Fred Alan Wolf) mentions how an electron becomes a wave of potentials before hitting the slid.
One of the earliest interpretations of double slit experiment, the Copenhagen Interpretation (and many that followed) used a similar term to explain what seemed inexplicable at the time (1924-27): “The act of measurement causes the set of probabilities to immediately and randomly assume only one of the possible values”.
Many great physicists argued about what happens to this little electron – some saw it as a wave, others saw it as a matter, and they finally concluded that a quantum of energy only exists as a wave of probable locations and motions in space.
To put it simply, there’s an endless field of potentiality around every energy particle – it be can here or there, it can be matter or wave, it can go through one slid and through both of them and through neither… And if we remember that a particle changes its behavior when it’s being observed, what do you think influences that particle and ultimately decides where it will be, what form it will take, how it will behave?
That’s right – the consciousness of the observer.
The conclusion is that we can change the results of our lives and environment through our observation and views of it. The reality is how you perceive it to be, and if you are not aware of something – it does not exist in your subjective reality. If you want it to exist – start perceiving it. And the possibilities are limitless!
Makes sense now? 🙂
